Katanga X Group Structure:
Katanga X Holdings is a support-services group of companies
providing a broad range of services to commercial, industrial
and retail clients. Katanga X's services include contract cleaning,
auto-cleaning, hygiene and washroom services, pest control, parking
and related services, indoor plants and landscaping, and supply of
catering equipment and trade products.
Katanga X's mission is to find contract opportunities within the
support-services sector, convert these through skills development
and capacity-building into employment and people-development,
advance Black business in this process, and distribute
empowerment profits into nation-building community projects.
Katanga X Holdings is owned 51% by community organisation
Ikamva Labantu, and 49% by Excellerate Holdings Limited, a JSE-
listed support services group.
Ikamva Labantu's participation in Katanga X ensures that:
Katanga's profits from contracts go into the communities to a
wide range of projects and beneficiaries;
Employment and management development opportunities are
harnessed for unemployed and appropriate people;
People from communities close to the sites of contracts
participate in opportunities;
Economic power and financial security are placed at grassroots
levels;
Skills are transferred to genuine HDI's.

Each operating subsidiary is facilitated by an Excellerate division
which assists in securing contracts, helps to allocate contract
resources including equipment and staff and plays a role in
operational and financial management. Each contract and operation
has an infrastructure of HDI staff who receive training and skills
development, are guided in the delivery of the contracts, and some
of whom undergo management development training.
The growth of Katanga X and its empowerment delivery are governed
by the success of contract opportunities, relying on empowerment-
focused clients to provide opportunities for expansion of further
people.
